Christmas Day

We celebrated Christmas with Stephen's family Christmas night. We were able to get out and try out Erin's new tricycle. She really likes it!

Let's race!

Both kids received helmets from the Granny and Grandaddy

Can we say multi-tasker? Talking on the phone and cleaning up all while wearing her helmet.

Grant got anew scooter!

After dinner we took a walk so the kids could ride their new toys!

Grant loves his scooter and can ride it pretty well.

Christmas Morning 2009

Christmas has been so much fun this year around our house. Grant and Erin are both old enough to be excited about Santa Claus this year! This morning Grant woke up first. He has been asking for a "Mickey Polar Express" (aka-Mickey Choo-Choo Express) for weeks now. He loves all things Mickey Mouse!

He also received a Leap Frog Zippity. It'1 s a video game system that uses a mat as the controller. So far his favorite game is....Mickey Says! (Go figure : )

Erin woke up last. Well, we woke her up. She's not always the best morning person. but after a few minutes she came out to see what Santa had left her.

Her new tricycle

A close up of her bedhead! This is what she looks like EVERY morning. It takes lots of spray in conditioner to comb it out. It is as if someone has teased it with a fine tooth comb!

Her new doll stroller. This is a little big, but I think she will get a few years out of it. It's very similar to my Maclaren that she rides in.

Checking out the empty plate and cup that Santa left.

We had the family over for a yummy breakfast.

We have had such a great Christmas so far, and we are not finished yet! Round 4 is tonight at Stephen's parent's house.

Christmas Eve

We went to my Mimi and Papa's house for Christmas Eve and enjoyed spending time with Brian, Liz and the kids! We opened lots of presents and we were blessed so much!
Erin feeding her baby in her new high chair.
Anna played her violin for us!

Grant recieved the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse from Mimi and Papa. He was so excited!!!

Christmas Card Outakes

This one would be so bad if Grant didn't have the cheesiest grin on his face.

Erin looks as if this is the last thing she wanted to do that day. I am trying to heave Grant back into my lap...as he is resisting.

Why do we have to hold her down to take her picture?

" I'm not even going to smile. No. Not once!"

Maybe this should have been our Christmas card.

Christmas Part 1

I am on a roll here post on the old blog. Our Christmas festivities kicked off this past weekend. Here are a few pictures:

Erin posing nicely by the Christmas tree in her dress before church yesterday morning. How did we get the shot? By bribing her with M & M's! I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner!

Grant and Erin...they are looking more and more grown up everyday! (Still bribing with candy! In fact, I think she's eating some in this picture,I justI like how Grant is looking at his Sissy!) Grant had the tie off before we even reached Sunday School!

Saturday evening we had dinner and exchanged gifts with Stephen's brother, Tim, and his wife, Karen. The kids have been so excited about Christmas this year, and these are there first presents.

I love the look of excitement on Erin's face as she was unwrapping her gift from uncle Tim and Aunt Karen.

She got her very first tea set! She knew exactly what to do with it too! She served all of us tea and hot chocolate all night long.

Even Rusty had his fair share of tea!

Grant received a remote control Publix semi truck. Here Stephen is showing him how it works.

He has run this thing all over the house. (Erin likes it too, but only runs the truck in reverse!)

The Children's Christmas Party

I am a week behind on this post. Last Sunday afternoon we had the children's Christmas party at church. Erin missed it because she was sick again with her mysterious fevers...anyway Grant had a great time!

Grant with baby Rebecca. He loves this little girl! He loves babies!
("Grant, don't touch her face! " That's what I am saying...luckily, Jeni understands because Rebecca's big sister is Grant's buddy Kate.)

This is Grant's reaction when Santa asked who had been naughty.

I wish I knew what he was telling Santa.

Playing with his gift from Santa...a matchbox Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The toy has been a hit all week!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

It's actually cold here in the Sunshine State just in time for Christmas! There's just something about wearing shorts on Christmas Day that isn't right! We took the kids to Green Cove Springs this morning to look at the "Parade of Christmas Trees." We thought the kids would like it, but they were more interested in the playground right next door. I have to say I was a little let down myself when we got there. I was picturing large, real Christmas trees, not little artificial ones.

I can't believe she actually wore this hat!

Grant ran through all the Christmas trees because we told him we had to see all of the trees before he could go play!

Grant checking out the spring that feed the swimming pool at the park.

This girl LOVES to swing!!!

Pure happiness!

What I spend most of my time doing.

Another failed attempt at a picture of me with my two kiddos!

At least Grant will cooperate.

Mommy and Grant...this is how he is smiling right now. A little dramatic don't you think?
